Bathroom Cleaning Requires Target Chemistry

Hardwater stains require low pH formulas. Mold and Mildew and organic growth stains require high pH oxidizers (bleach). Usually these are boosted with builders that strengthen the formula. Milder formulas (often pH neutral are unable to remove these target soils. Most bathroom cleaners use dangerous commodity (cheap) chemistry.

Bathrooms Are Confined Spaces

Bathrooms have the toughest cleaning tasks. Bathrooms are also the smallest rooms in a house. Using aerosolized bathroom cleaners in confined bathroom areas is a horrible combination that inevitably leads to ingesting toxic chemicals into the lungs. That is why the body reacts with coughing and gagging. Your body wants you to leave the room.

After cleaning virtually any bathroom surface, spray the water repellent on the surface and your shower door, tile, fixtures, tub, surrounds, etc will sheet water keeping surfaces clean….less future work for you.

DIRECTIONS: HARDWATER

1. Apply to Door / Apply To Sponge

Hardwater stains, calcium, soap scum will be broken down with Shower Door Magic and Bathroom Magic Hardwater stain cleaners. Apply to a sponge or directly to the shower door and spread the product across the entire stained area. Let sit for a few minutes so the stains can be broken down.

2. Agitate With Scour Sponge

After the product has been allowed to ‘sit’ on the surface for a few minutes. Agitate the surface with a scouring sponge in a circular motion.

3. Thoroughly Rinse

After agitating the surface, thoroughly rinse the surface with a hand held shower head or cup of water. Wipe the surface with a sponge while rinsing to assure complete and thorough rinsing.

Persistent stains?

If stains that have not been removed with shower door magic or bathroom magic, with high probability they are not ‘hard water stains’ and either caused by silica in the water (silica stains look like hard water stains) or the glass has been etched. Silica stains require micro-abrasion cleaning with our Silica stain remover. Etching can be permanent. See comment from shower door manufacturers: The surface of new glass is smooth, but it has microscopic soft spots. The continuous use of harsh chemicals slowly dissolves these soft areas. Eventually you will end up with etched glass which is impossible to clean. Avoid harsh cleaners and seal glass and shower surfaces with a water repellent.
